Sharing your vacancies with the veterinary community
We can help employers share vacancies as long as you're located in Scotland. View the options we offer below. We're also keen to put prospective employees in touch with you but be assured we're not a recruitment agency, more a free-of-charge introductory service!
Additional support and services for practice managers
The following shows other support services we can provide. You're welcome to get in touch with us directly for a chat to discuss any requirements you may have. Evenings and weekends are not a problem and any discussion is kept confidential. VetQOL holds business insurance (public liability, employers liability etc) and key personnel are RCVS registered with professional indemnity cover provided by VDS.
accreditation support
We can assist with accreditation/ re-accreditation processes such as the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic or VMD inspections. We have successfully led workplaces through these processes, achieving accreditation for university hospitals (small animal and equine), a small animal specialist hospital and farm general practice.
practice list
We maintain a comprehensive, GDPR-compliant database of all veterinary practices in Scotland. We're obviously using this for our own purposes but we're aware that practices might want to contact colleagues to let them know about referral services or events. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
practice administration
Consider us an extension of your practice! If you need temporary administration support, and it would be beneficial to have someone who thoroughly understands first opinion and referral veterinary processes, we're happy to help. No job is too small. Join the VetQOL community for access to additional useful support information and discounts on VetQOL services.
supplier list
We've listed over 700 suppliers, services and organisations which work with the veterinary profession. Some will be very familiar but some less so, but they are potentially useful for those working in first opinion practices. Join the VetQOL community and we'll let you know when we add new suppliers.
Crisis Support - available to help when the unexpected happens
Over the years we've dealt with practice or hospital floods, fires, powercuts, fried motherboards and unexpected staff shortages, all while having to maintain clinical services. We can also add working during a pandemic to the list. If your practice is based in Scotland, and you find yourself in a sudden unexpected situation, please get in touch and we'll do our best to provide support to allow you and your team to focus on patient and client care. We're available in the evenings and weekends and any approach will be managed in confidence.
