Parasitology update for vet practitioners
Description: Dr Philip Skuce, Principal Scientist at the Moredun Research Institute will give a parasitology update for practitioners covering a range of aspects of practical parasitology for vets to keep you up to date with the ever-changing dynamics of some of the parasite diseases we face. Some of the topics covered will be Haemonchosis, PGE in ewes, fluke risk and environmental sustainability.
About the speaker: Philip is a Principal Scientist at Moredun Research Institute, having worked there for worked there for the past 30 years on various aspects of sustainable control of helminth parasites (worms & fluke) in livestock. He is also the SEFARI (Scottish Environment, Food and Agriculture Research Institutes) Gateway Knowledge Broker for Livestock, and sits on the SCOPS Steering Committee, with specific responsibility for the Fluke and Environment Working Groups
