The nature of our business mean we operate as data controllers when dealing with your personal data. We take the security and responsibility of the data you provide us very seriously. This website www.vetqol.co.uk (“Website”) is owned and operated by Corbie Ltd, a company incorporated in Scotland with company number SC658880.  Registered office address is Unit 4B, Gateway Business Park, Beancross Road, Grangemouth, Central Scotland, FK3 8WX. When you register through our website, use the website, place an order, contact VetQOL by email, social media, telephone or in writing we may collect and process personal data (“Personal Information”) about you. We understand the importance of looking after the Personal Information that you provide, and this notice sets out what Personal Information we collect, why we need to collect it, how we will use your personal information and how long we will store it for.

From the first moment you interact with VetQOL, we are collecting data. Sometimes you provide us with data, sometimes data about you is collected automatically.

Types of personal data we collect

Individual data: we will obtain personal detail such as your name, contact email, workplace and role when you complete our on-line VetQOL Community Membership form.

 

Business data: we will obtain data about your business ( such as trading name, address, contact details, name and role of point of contact, business ownership) when you complete an online form.

 

For individuals and businesses we will also obtain data when you contact us by email, telephone and social media. We will also obtain data from publicly available sources (your business website, RCVS Find a Vet)

We may monitor your use of this website through the use of cookies and similar tracking devices. For example, we may monitor how many times you visit and which pages you visit. This information helps us to build a profile of our website users.

 

VetQOL and sensitive data

We do not collect any “sensitive data” about you except when we have your specific consent, or when we must comply with the law. Our services are intended for use only by those who are 18 years of age or over. We do not offer our services to children and do not knowingly collect any personal data from any person under 16 years of age.

At VetQOL, we retain personal data as long as is required to comply with our legal and regulatory requirements, including to HMRC and RCVS. In circumstances where there is no statutory requirement to retain personal data, we will set a time scale to comply with GDPR/Data Protection Act 2018 in that data will not be retained any longer than necessary for the purpose it was intended.
